Cliveden Guest House Booking Terms, Conditions and Further Information.

To avoid any misunderstanding we would remind you that a verbal or written reservation constitutes a contract.

Booking with us infers acceptance of our Terms & Conditions.

  1. BOOKINGS

  2. Bookings will only be confirmed once we have received the requested deposit. We will then issue a receipt for the deposit, an indication balance due and a confirmation of your booking.
  3. Where reservation/payment for accommodation is by Credit or Debit Card you authorise Cliveden Guest House to charge all monies due, including any cancellation or damage charges, to the card.
  4. Deposits are non refundable except in the unlikely event the booking has to be canceled by the Guest House.
  5. The person booking is responsible for notifying us of any damage to or loss of Guest House property and for the costs incurred by replacement or making good any damage.
  6. Payment of the balance should be made during your stay.

    CANCELLATION

  7. If your stay with us is canceled with more than 30 days notice you will not get a refund of your deposit but there will be no further charges.
  8. If your stay with us is canceled with 30 to 15 days notice ½ the total cost will be charged.
  9. If your stay with us is canceled within 14 days of your arrival, then the total cost of your stay will be payable. However, if we are able to re let the room, we will be able to offer a reduction in the cancelation costs.
  10. In the event of a cancelation we will do our best to re let the room and keep the cancelation charge as low as possible. If we are not successful, then the person making the booking will be liable to pay the cost of the cancelation as set out above.
  11. We would suggest that you consider holiday cancelation insurance.
  12. No reductions are available for last minute changes to your stay including later arrival or early departure.

    ARRIVAL

  13. Check in is between 2pm and 8pm on the day of arrival. We are able to look after your bags if you wish to arrive earlier, but we cannot guarantee that your room will be ready. If you are going to arrive after 8pm please telephone us first to make arrangements.

    DEPARTURE

  14. We request that rooms are vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

    BREAKFAST

  15. Breakfast is served in the dining room between 8am - 8.45am, unless otherwise notified on arrival. There may be two sittings during busy periods. If you have booked, or would like to book an evening meal, the menu for the day will be available during breakfast for you to make your selection.


    TAKE-AWAY MEALS

  16. We do not allow guests to have hot take-away food in the Guest House.

    SERVICE OF ROOMS.

  17. Our rooms are cleaned in the morning after breakfast. We ask that guests are aware that we will be cleaning rooms during this time and to inform us if this is not convenient.

    NON-PAYING VISITORS

  18. Security is important to us. Only registered guests may enter the property. Registered guests have keys. Please do not allow other people entry to the building. Please ensure that the inner front door is kept closed at all times.

    NO SMOKING POLICY

  19. The Cliveden Guest House is strictly a non-smoking establishment. For the benefit of all we take a firm view on smoking. It is not allowed under any circumstances. The Guest House is fitted with and monitored by a highly sensitive detection system for your safety. Smoking will activate the alarm and may lead to full evacuation of the Guest House. By booking with us you accept that if you or anyone in your booking are suspected of having broken this rule, your booking will be cancelled. No refund will be given and you will be asked to leave. You will also incur cleaning charge of £75

    FURTHER INFORMATION

  20. Cliveden Guest House cannot be held responsible for any articles of value unless deposited with the management for safekeeping.
  21. Cars and their contents are left in our car park at the owner's risk
  22. Please advise us of any medical conditions or health issues you may have at the time of your stay that may affect your health, safety and welfare.
  23. All services are offered subject to availability.
  24. There will be a charge for any lost keys.
  25. We may change our Terms and Conditions without notice.
