James and Alison are both qualified musicians and experienced pianists, organists and accompanists. We have been involved in choirs, both secular and church, as singers and directors. Music is a big part of our lives and we would like that to remain the case here at Cliveden. We would love to hear from other musically minded people. Perhaps you are just wanting a break away, or maybe you are looking for a small venue to run a workshop and require a good piano. Perhaps you like singing or other music making and would enjoy the chance to share that with others.

James' background is in teaching and moderating music. He has worked as Director of Music at an independent school and has a love of English / American light music and also show music. Alison has worked as a peripatetic singing and piano teacher.

We have a new Wendl & Lung Grand Piano here at the Cliveden and also music writing software.

We are developing ideas for musical retreats / workshops so please watch this space.
