The steam train runs along the Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway to Kingswear. You can visit the endangered species at Paignton Zoo, or learn some history at the 500 year old Kirkham House or at Oldway Mansion, once home of Isaac Singer of Singer sewing machine fame.
The steam train runs along an extremely picturesque railway line which runs from Paignton to Kingswear, where you can catch a ferry to the town of Dartmouth.
The scenery makes the line a worthwhile trip. You get a good view of Torbay as the train leaves Paignton and around Kingswear, the views over the river Dart are pretty amazing too.
Located right outside the hotel it is very conveniently located.
Paignton Zoo is home to thousands of amazing animals and plants. Visit the desert, cross the savannah, explore the forest and trek through the tropics. Use your senses to discover the wild world: look around, listen out - you'll even need your sense of smell! It's a great day out for everyone.
